Building on an initial pilot phase, the lab has supported prototype collaborations combining creative practice, research insight and emerging technologies. Projects have included AI-enabled heritage tools, hybrid performances connecting multiple sites, and interactive virtual environments. Together, these initiatives demonstrate collaborative R&D’s potential in expanding creative practice, deepening audience engagement, and generating evidence that informs future research, innovation, and the development of new products and services.
