East End Edit

East End Edit explores immersive fashion ideation through 3D scanning technology to engage young people with the V&A Storehouse collection. The project conducted workshops with 18–21 year olds from East London, using personal fashion items as entry points to connect with museum archives. Participants learned 3D scanning techniques, analysed garments as social objects, and created visual essays linking their clothing to V&A collections. Key findings emphasised the need for interactive, sensory experiences that blend digital and physical elements.
